"Magazine" Studio Session - Buffalo & WNY Family Photographer
We’ve all heard the expression, “It looks like it came out of a magazine!!”
So, to switch up the stereotypical studio photo session I decided to create that modern & clean look you see in magazine and fashion ads but with a fun twist!
If you’ve viewed my work at all, you probably have figured out that I don’t do “look and say cheese.”
I myself hate forcing that fake smile at the camera so I don’t want to make other people do it.
I encourage interacting with your family, being, silly, or snuggling….whatever the mood, your family style, or the kids are willing to do!
It’s Western New York….we get about 5 months of nice outdoor weather a year….so, typically soooo many families are trying to get their sessions scheduled with me during those warmer months. However, this studio session is a great idea for the colder months yes….but it can be done anytime of the year! These are fun, quick, and such a cool look.
(and the kids always love being on these chairs)
I know there’s also a sterrotype when you think of a family studio session you think of everyone wearing jeans and a tshirt, or khakis and blue shirts…..but what I love about these is that even though families tend to come in jeans and a white shirt a la Calvin Klein style, there’s also a way to mix things up and give it a more modern look.
I’ve had families come to these where one child’s jeans are torn and rockstar looking and another child might come with suspenders and a cute hat. I’ve had little girls come with bunny ear headbands and another with a silver sequin skirt. Some might wear tank tops while others a cute eyelet and lace top.
There’s still ways to give your session it’s own unique look.
Thanks for taking the time to check out a studio family session.
If you’re interested in setting up a session for yourself just CONTACT ME and we can get the fun planning process started! And since I’m not sure when you’re reading this, my current space for studio sessions is in Perrysburg, NY (approximately 15 minutes from the Silver Creek thruway exit), but will be changing at the end of Summer 2019 when I finally have a permanent location in North Collins (approximately 5 minutes from the Rice Rd 219 exit and 25/30 minutes from downtown Buffalo).
